I, too, did not know the difference between palliative and hospice care. I'm a woman who lives with multiple chronic illnesses, so I guess lots of people with chronic illness would benefit from palliative care. IF they didn't freak out being told that! lol
Beth, YES! Palliative care is for everyone, and doctors and other healthcare providers should discuss it with everyone who lives with chronic illness. And you're right - we have to make the word "palliative" less alarming!

Yes, so many people equate "palliative" with "death." Hopefully if we keep talking about it, people will start to get the distinction!
